My goal is to help you understand and process your emotions, so you don’t feel like they manage you.
In my experience as a therapist working in several settings, with different populations, diagnosis, backgrounds and treatment focuses, I’ve learned that most often a concern of balance is what we find underneath it all. This balance is informed by what we learn through family, culture, personality, social media, job/career expectations, and many more. For those experiencing infertility, the balance becomes difficult - relationship, treatment, finances, friendship, mental health, physical experiences, etc. Once we acknowledge these feelings (including pain), thoughts, and experiences, we can begin to understand what is needed. My goal is to be a guide and supporter alongside you in your journey of exploration, grief, processing, and maybe some level of acceptance to facilitate you on your path toward living a meaningful and balanced life.
Perspective
Due to current licensing laws, I am able to see individuals who are geographically located in MA, TX, SC, and AR at the time of our appointments. LCSW in TX and AR; LICSW in MA and a LISW-CP in SC.
The therapy modalities I draw upon is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Seen below is a video to explore what treatment looks like when CBT is applied to treat trauma. This results in a method called Cognitive Processing Therapy or CPT.
